Rose Walton
Rose Walton was a pioneer. During the HIV/AIDS crisis of the 1980’s, Rose step up to organize and help the many men afflicted with this disease. Her actions saved the lives of thousands through education, organization and support. She brought comfort to the afflicted and their families through her advocacy while mounting efforts focused on preventing further infections.
This portrait honors Rose at the “Rose Walton Care Services” clinic at the “Edie Windsor Healthcare Center” in Hampton Bays, Long Island, NY.
