About
Welcome! I hail from upstate New York. I made my way to Tampa, FL for college and a career in IT. My husband and I retired across the bay to St. Petersburg, FL. We also have the good fortune to spend our summers in Black Mountain, North Carolina.
In 2021 we added a mini-Bernedoodle to our family. “Rooney” has bushy eyebrows like a certain 60 Minutes correspondent, hence his name.
A little about my art projects and how I select my subjects. The dog paintings are special to me as we have had two Goldens. While Goldens are special, I love all animals. I paint what I love; animals, nature and settings that tell the story of the beauty of this earth. I hope my paintings bring a sense of calm, joy, hope and a love to all who see/own them. I hope you enjoy them all as much as I enjoyed painting them.
I am grateful for my excellent art teachers. They include Judi Dazio who helped me get started in 2015, Bob Travers in NC and Neverne Covington in St Pete. I’m also grateful to all my fellow art students who provide additional coaching and encouragement.
Thanks for visiting. If you have any question, feel free to contact me at barrydingman@gmail.com.
